Group Residential Design

TiD design considerations for group living situations

Online On-Demand

Service Description

Target Skill Level: Basic TiD CEUs: 1 Presenters: Janet Roche and Christine Cowart Course Length: 1 hour Group living situations—such as nursing homes, rehabilitation centers, assisted living communities, and foster care group homes—are multifaceted, and need a multifaceted approach. They are homes, but often also treatment or support facilities, often reminiscent of hospital environments. A trauma-informed approach to these residential spaces must balance the need for the comforts and relaxation of home with the spaces and equipment needed to provide the appropriate level of care. This offering will explore these complicated challenges, and help participants develop innovative solutions based in the TiD framework.
