Alina is an interdisciplinary architectural researcher and designer working at the intersection of empirical sciences, ethics, and the built environment. With education in physics, computer science, neuroscience applied to architecture, and architecture, her work investigates how space influences stress, perception, behavior, and human experience. Through her research and practice, she advances evidence-based and trauma-informed approaches to architecture that bridge scientific inquiry, ethical practice, and resilience-centered design. Alina is the founder of Research and Design Alina Osnaga and serves on the AIA National Ethics Council, the EDRA Board, and the NAAB Accreditation Team.

Sarah is a Licensed Professional Counselor who earned a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education from the University of Georgia and a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Georgia. She has experience working with children, adolescents, families, and adults providing trauma-focused therapy. She has trainings in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Medical Play Therapy, AutPlay, Polyvagal Therapy, and Creative Interventions. Sarah has a passion for working with children and adults who have experienced trauma, life transitions, desire creative interventions in therapy, and have chronic medical conditions. Sarah is LGBTQ+ affirming and culturally aware.

Krishna earned her Bachelors degree in Architecture in India and worked in the field there for the past 15 years.   In 2014, she started her own company, Design Studio, concentrating mainly on home interiors & furniture design.  She says "Shifting to the US was a major breakthrough in terms of culture, experiences, etc., but at the same time opened up a whole new horizon in my design concepts and understanding.  The DHH program played a major part in that.  I am still in the process of learning, absorbing, and improving my thought process in terms of the design of spaces and its healing properties."

Jori, is a PhD student in Built Environments and pursuing certificates in Gender and Sexuality and Historic Preservation.  Their research examines how queer bookstores in Seattle create spaces for transgender belonging and embodiment.  Beyond academia, they work as a community development freelancer, applying systems thinking and mutual aid strategies to help diverse communities connect and thrive.  Jori is passionate about creating inclusive spaces and support networks that recognize intersectional experiences and foster genuine connection. They enjoy restoring classic cars and analyzing architecture, and owned a used, independent bookstore in their hometown of Lafayette, Louisiana.  Front Porch/Gumbo/ Cajun culture is at the root of all they do.

Margie is a dynamic environmental interior designer and educator with over 20 years of experience. Understands the importance of environmental design, designing for human health, and educating future designers about alternative building materials, energy-efficient lighting technologies and current trends in interior design such as Aging in Place and Universal Design.

Evon is an architectural designer with a focus on research- and trauma-informed solutions. She holds a BFA in Architecture from MassArt and a MArch from the University of Oregon, where she was a research assistant in the Institute for Health in the Built Environment lab. Currently, Evon sits on the AIA/AAH Research Initiatives committee . In this role, she is responsible for researching and evaluating evidence from healthcare facilities and leading research projects exploring the impact of design on human health and perception.

Molly is a visionary leader with over 35 years experience as a Pediatric Occupational Therapist. She is currently working in the public schools and as a consultant, providing trainings and mentorship for new therapists and early childhood programs and bringing a TiD and sensory lens to design projects in her community. Molly has been an adjunct faculty for 20 years with the University of Oregon offering graduate level instruction through the Special Education and Early Intervention programs.

Heidi Niebauer (she/they) has worked since 2005 in social services in many sectors, including mental health, developmental disabilities, youth and families, reentry, secondary and elementary education, and workforce development. Through all of this, Heidi has learned to bring her lived expertise to systems-level work. Heidi's passion for community informs all that she does, including supporting individuals through transformative change by encouraging radical self-acceptance. She believes we all have a place and encourages everyone to identify our strengths and manifest our unique gifts. Her hope is that we all have the opportunity to discover our own path and speak our truth to a world that is hurting.

Cherry is an educator in Maryland's Prince George’s County Public Schools for 27 years.  After teaching high school social studies for 10 years, she held a variety of other educational positions. She is certified as a trauma-informed facilitator and presenter by the Maryland Family Tree, in partnership with the Maryland State Department of Education. She earned her second Masters degree in Education in Trauma and Resilience in Educational Settings, with a focus on trauma-informed interventions in early childhood classrooms.
